At Insight Healthcare Solutions, we are passionate about helping people with diabetes. Our mission is to provide convenient, simple foot care solutions to prevent unnecessary amputations. Believe it or not, there are about 82,000 lower limb amputations that occur each year in the US among people with diabetes – more than half of which doctors believe can be prevented with proper foot care. At Insight, we feel strongly that by enabling people with diabetes to check, nurture, and protect their feet, we can make a difference.
Our mission began after hearing from healthcare professionals about a critical, but often neglected part of diabetes care – foot observation. They stressed that most people did not remember to check their feet, and even if they did, had no convenient way to do so.
Armed with this knowledge, we developed the idea for a bathroom scale that would both enable and remind people with diabetes to check their feet every day. We partnered with a leading product design company for three years to design, test and perfect the scale. In order to ensure that each scale produced is of the highest quality, we are intimately involved in our factory's production processes. We take this very seriously.
Today, we have an entire brand dedicated to diabetes foot care. We bring you not only the foot care scale, but also high quality socks and skin care products. At Insight, we know that diabetes is complicated and often overwhelming. We want to do our part to make your diabetes management as simple as possible, and to enable you to maintain your quality of life.

So, on to a bit about us. We have worked in the healthcare field for 35 years all together – and for about 20 of those, we have been focused on diabetes patients. In 2002, we began working together on another diabetes care brand, ReliOn®.
While building this brand, we were exposed to the many challenges that people with diabetes face on a day-to-day basis. From this, we became more and more convinced that there had to be a way to simplify some aspects of diabetes care. So, we set out to achieve this vision, and created the Insight Foot Care Scale.

Hi, my name's Jack and thanks for visiting our site. I'm the "guy on the ground" in Asia, which is the simple way of saying that I oversee the design, engineering, and manufacturing of our scale. While we work with a very high quality factory located in Shenzhen, China, it is always better to have someone present and constantly involved in the process. There will always be unforeseen issues that arise and being here allows me to make sure that they do not develop into larger problems. Basically, I make sure that every scale coming off the line, and ultimately landing in our customers’ bathrooms, is of the highest possible quality.
So how did I get into the diabetes business, you may ask? Well, I graduated from Virginia Tech (Go Hokies!) in December of 2003 with a degree in Business Management and a minor in International Business. Soon after, in August of 2004, I began working with Ansley and my father, Bob, on a diabetes brand called ReliOn®. By watching and learning from them, interacting with others in the field, and spending time with people with diabetes, I developed a true passion for helping people manage this disease. Knowing that we are working together to help people live longer, better, and healthier lives is truly a motivating force in my life...and in everyone's life at Insight.

So what do I do for Insight? I oversee sales for the Insight Foot Care Scale, traveling around the country to create awareness and to inform healthcare professionals about our product and its benefits.
To me, it is about much more than just being the "sales guy" – I'll tell you why…
During my final years at the University of Florida, where I graduated with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Packaging Sciences, Ansley, Bob, and Jack offered me the opportunity to help their company, and in turn, people with diabetes. After attending conferences with them, their inexhaustible passion to help people with diabetes became quite clear. At that point, I knew that I had to be a part of this focused and driven team that is dedicated to helping people with diabetes. I am proud to say that I joined on January 1st of this year.
The way I see it, my role is to spread awareness about the need to check your feet each day, and to inform people that there is a simple and convenient way to do so.
